Infinity USB Phoenix is connected to and power supplied by
a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port. Just one standard A-B USB-cable is
needed (no need for an additional DC-adaptor).
Being USB1.1 compliant and working on both USB1.1 and USB2.0 controllers,
ensures future compatibility.
When not in use, Infinity USB Phoenix enters a power down state using only
0.06 Watt (0.5kWh/year).
Phoenix/Smart mouse mode is possible by using the built in
Phoenix/Smart mouse hardware. Existing 3rd party software compatibility is
ensured, as a standard serial/COMport is used. In Phoenix/Smart mouse mode,
the Infinity USB Phoenix is powered by the USBport, while communicating
over the COMport.
In standard Infinity USB mode only the USB cable is used for both
communication and power supply.
Phoenix/Smart mouse modes are easily changed (pressing a single button in
software), and both 3.58MHz, 3.68MHz and 6.00MHz can be selected, as well as Phoenix or
Smart mouse mode.
Infinity USB Phoenix programs most popular smart cards on
the market:
PIC-based:
- Wafer card (16C84, 16F84, 16F84A)
- Gold card (16F84/16F84A + 24C16)
- Silver card (16F876/16F877 + 24C64)
- Green card (16F876/16F877 + 24C128)
- Greencard2 (16F876/16F877 + 24C256)
- Blue card (16F84A + 24C64)
- Canary Card (16F628 + 24C16)
- Emerald Card (16F628 + 24C64)
- Singlepic (16F876, 16F627, 16F628).
AVR-based:
- Funcard/Funcard2 (AT90S8515 + 24C64)
- Prussian Card/Funcard3 (AT90S8515 + 24C128)
- PrussianCard2/Funcard4 (AT90S8515 + 24C256)
- PrussianCard3/Funcard5 (AT90S8515 + 24C512)
- PrussianCard4/Funcard6 (AT90S8515 + 24C1024)
- PrussianCard5/Funcard7 (AT90S8515 + 2*24C1024)
- Jupiter Card (AT90S2343 + 24C16)
- JupiterCard2 (AT90S8535 + 24C64)
- FunCard ATmega161 (ATmega161 + 24C64)
- FunCard ATmega163 (ATmega163 + 24C256)
- FunCard Atmega8515/Funkey2 (Atmega 8515 + 24C256)
- Black Card (ATmega128 + 24C256)
Cards accessed thru built-in Phoenix interface (by use of 3rd
party software):
- GSM/SIM-cards
- Megapic
- M-II
- Titanium card
- Basic card 4.5D
- All other cards accessible by Phoenix or Smart mouse / 3.58, 3.68 or
6.00MHz
Further cards/combinations of CPU/EEPROM will be added when new cards
are available. The generic hardware/firmware ensures that only a
software download will be needed for adding most new cards.
Infinity USB Phoenix is based on a 24MHz RISC
processor, and has some of the fastest programming times of any
programmer on the market.
The following are times measured while programming and verifying
entire cards.
| Gold card |
12 seconds |
| Silver card |
58 seconds |
| Jupiter Card |
14 seconds |
| Fun card |
48 seconds |
| Fun Card ATmega161 |
50 seconds |
These are maximum times. The programming algorithms are optimized in
any way possible, ensuring as short programming times as possible.
Hexfiles which only takes up half the space of a card, takes only half
the time to program.
Software runs under Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows
ME and Windows XP.
It has been developed with ease of use in mind, and automatically
detects which type of card is inserted. Furthermore it has an advanced
detection algorithm, for detecting unknown cards.
